Terms and Conditions

Cancellation Policy

If you have booked a room or bed here at the West End Hotel you must give 2 days notification when cancelling a booking to prevent any penalty fees being charged to your credit card. If you have booked with an agent online or in person, any deposit made to them is non-refundable. Cancelling a booking within 2 days of the arrival date will see the equivalent of one nights room/bed rate charged to the credit card details provided to us with the booking.  Please note:  Groups of eight or more are required to provide two weeks notice of cancellation.

Guests may be asked to settle 50% of their account, which is non refundable, one month prior to arrival when booked into the hotel on the following dates:

5 – 7 February 2010 Inclusive
12 – 14 March 2010 Inclusive
2 – 5 April 2010 Inclusive
1 – 3 May 2010 Inclusive
28 – 31 May 2010 Inclusive
24 - 27 June 2010 Inclusive
29 December 2010 – 2 January 2011 Inclusive

If cancelling any bookings for these dates we require 2 weeks notice for there to be no charges made to your credit card. Cancelling within 2 weeks of your arrival date will see the total remaining balance of your bill charged to the credit card details provided to us with your booking. 

Group Bookings

Please note that if you are a group of 8 or more people you will be asked to leave a £25.00 security bond per person on arrival. This bond will be returned on departure once the following has been checked by a staff member. Please note that you should allow time for your room to be checked on departure as this can take up to 15 minutes, if you fail to leave time for your room/s to be inspected bonds will not be returned. If we require any damages to be inspected by the owner, bonds will be kept and returned to you at a later date once a price has been determined for the damage. Disturbing other residents will also result in a penalty charge, the amount will be determined on a case by case basis. Set out below is a guideline of damages and penalty charges, please note these are a guideline only and the hotel reserves the right to change these at any time with out warning.

  • Pillows (Stained or stolen) £10.00
  • Bedding (Stained, Torn or Stolen) £25.00
  • Mattresses (Stains) £50.00
  • Bunk Bed Frames (Dents and Marks) Up to £100.00
  • Carpet (Stains or Cigarette Burns) Up to £100.00 
  • Walls (Holes or Marks) Up to £50.00
  • Art Work (Marks or Tears) Up to £150.00
  • Blinds (Marks, Stains or Broken) Up to £100.00
  • Fire Extinguishers (Damaged or Misused) £75.00
  • Signs of people smoking in the rooms/dorms will see everyone in the group lose their £25.00 deposit.
