By Rail

Trains to Edinburgh arrive at the citiy's famous Waverley station which is around a 15/20 minutes walk from the Hotel. If you are approaching from Glasgow then you will arrive at Haymarket station - head beyond the left side of the 'Haymarket' bar, Turn left at Starbucks and continue down the right side of Palmerston Place. The West End Hotel is 50 metres past the Cathedral.

If you disembark from Waverley station, cross onto the shopping side of Princes Street and walk to the west with the shops on your right side. Continue for approx 1 km. Continue beyond Coates and Argyle Crescent and turn right at Starbucks. This is Palmerston Place and the Hotel is 50 Metres beyond the Cathedral.

By Plane

The most convenient airport is Edinburgh from where you can hire a car. Other international flights to Scotland may land at Glasgow which is approximately 50 miles away from where you can also hire a car. A frequent bus service also operates from both airports. Should you require a taxi for transportation from Glasgow to Edinburgh, try Glasgow Airport Taxis. Leave the bus at Haymarket station.

The roads to Edinburgh from all directions are naturally modern fast roads or motorways. There are a number of ways from which the hotel can be approached and to make the best choice click on the box below for a detailed map.There is no free Car parking available in the streets surrounding the hotel. However there is 24 hour NCP (paid) parking available close by at Morrison Link.
